The following list of keyboard shortcuts should be useful to a wide range of people and can be used as a reference guide. First, this guide will help users to navigate through Firefox NVDA. In addition, this guide will be useful to educate web content developers about the keyboard shortcuts that could conflict with NVDA. Finally, programmers consider this guide as an aid to understanding the main NVDA keyboard commands.

left arrow or Keypad 1 reads the previous character
right arrow or Keypad 3 reads the next character
Keypad 2 reads the character
Keypad 5 the word bed
Numpad 5 (2 times rapidemment) spell the word
Ctrl + left arrow or Keypad 4 reads the previous word
Ctrl + right arrow or Keypad 6 reads the next word
up arrow or Keypad 7 reads the previous line
down arrow or Keypad 9 reads the next line
NVDA + up arrow or Keypad 8 reads the current line
NVDA + up arrow (2 times rapidemment) spell the current line
NVDA + down arrow or Keypad + reads from cursor
Shift + Numpad 7 reads the first line of the page
Shift + Numpad 9 reads the last line of the page
Shift + Numpad 1 reads from the beginning of the line
Shift + Numpad 3 reads the last character in the list

Speed ​​voice synthesis

Keyboard shortcut Description
+ Ctrl + NVDA + down arrow decreases the rate of the voice synthesis
+ Ctrl + NVDA + up arrow increases the speed of the voice synthesis
+ Ctrl + NVDA + left arrow / right arrow changes the parameters of the voice synthesis (inflection, accent, etc.).

Paragraph headings and lists

Keyboard shortcut Description
H reads the next paragraph as the last played track (starting from the cursor)
1-6 reads the title of the paragraph level requested (from 1 to 6) following the last played track (starting from the cursor)
